Gesfimo - Espírito Santo Irmãos, Sociedade Gestora de Organismos de Investimento Coletivo, S.A., is an independent real estate asset management firm authorized and supervised by the Portuguese Securities Market Commission. Established in 1989, the company historically operated as the dedicated property fund management vehicle of the former Grupo Espírito Santo ecosystem, actively coordinating urban licensing, development, and portfolio commercialization across domestic real estate assets. The entity gained widespread market prominence as the legal administrator behind landmark closed-end real estate vehicles, most notably managing the fund that controlled the Herdade da Comporta estate before executing its sale. The ownership of the management company traces directly to the historical non-financial holdings of the Espírito Santo family conglomerate. Through successive reorganizations within the former group, the share capital of Gesfimo was fully consolidated under Espart SGPS, the real estate holding arm ultimately belonging to Rioforte Investments. Following the collapse and insolvency proceedings of the group parent companies in 2014, Gesfimo continued operating under autonomous management, primarily tasked with stewarding legacy real estate investment funds, managing divestments, and administering collective alternative investment vehicles in compliance with the national asset management regulatory framework.
