Critical Ventures is an independently managed venture capital firm that invests in deep-tech founders building critical systems where getting something wrong is not an option. The firm backs companies at the earliest stages (Seed to Series B) with first cheques of €500K–€3M, with two-thirds reserved for follow-on investments. Founded by entrepreneurs who have built technology companies themselves, Critical Ventures is rooted in the Critical Ecosystem, which spans aerospace, defence, medical, industrial and energy sectors. The firm is authorised and regulated by CMVM (Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários) as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager.
